Hottest Hairstyle Trends – Spring 2019

The last couple of years have been all about the minimalist look – muted colors, light makeup, natural hair. For 2019, we’re celebrating a year of glamour and glitz, bringing out the wild side and really letting your youthful inner spirit show through. Today, we’ll talk about some of the newest hairstyle trends for this exciting spring season.

This year’s trends come from the culture of personalization and individual inspiration. Styles aren’t confined to traditional barriers, but instead, allow the individual to be fun and self-expressive.


Hairstyles that we are sure will be trending this spring include:
> The lob (long bob)
> Extra-long
> Super short and chic
> Extreme or low-maintenance bangs


Lobs are very flexible and can be worn messy and natural, smooth and polished, or as a retro fringe. The great thing about a lob is that you can wear it down or up, depending on your mood, and you get a cool, stylish look either way.


We’ll see a lot of retro-inspired styles this spring, especially from the 70s and 90s. The shag is back and looks great on long hair, as does a messy bun, an easy-to-style look that works great on just about everyone. All women can embrace their curls in this spring’s fashions – but this one isn’t retro (we’re not doing the frizzy 80s!). This time around, curls are soft, defined, and hydrated, but can be anywhere from
loose waves to tight ringlets.

Bangs are an important part of any style, and there are lots of options for 2019. From micro-bangs (very short, fringed bangs) to long, wispy curtains, try a few different ways to complement your style. Hint: if you want to give the short fringe a try but don’t want to cut off and commit, ask your stylist about clip-on bangs to try out the look. Glitz and glamour would be all for nothing if we didn’t include accessories, and for spring 2019, sparkles are making a comeback. Think glittery shine and sparkling rhinestones! The sky is the limit here – remember, it’s all about self-expression, so have some fun!
