Fall and Winter Hair Trends at The Glam Room

It keeps getting cooler out there, and we know that means fall has arrived, and winter is not too far behind. Have you started updating your style for the new season? If you haven’t quite gotten started yet, don’t worry – there’s an easy way to get a fresh new look for fall: a new hairstyle or hair color! The start of fall has always been the perfect time to change up your haircut or try out a whole new color, and 2020 is no exception. We’re seeing lots of exciting cut and color options in this season’s trends, and here are a few of our favorites to give you a bit of inspiration.
 

Stunning fall and winter hair colors:

Mulled wine. We love adding red in the fall, especially since all those spectacular colors on the changing leaves just put us in the mood for crimson shades. Mulled wine is an elegant option that’s deep, rich, and mysterious, adding chardonnay red and auburn highlights to a deep onyx base for a high-dimension, luxurious color that will turn heads.
 

Toffee. Warm shades look great for fall, and the warm glow of toffee and caramel creates the perfect dimensional shade to complement any fall wardrobe. You and your Cre8 colorist can choose how light or dark you want to go by dialing in just the perfect level of highlights.
 

Warm-toned espresso. Love a deep, dark shade? So do we, and this option takes you right into winter with a rich, dramatic hair color. It’s all about the warm tones, almost hidden away but with just enough of a hint to make that dark espresso shade warm up a bit and glow brilliantly.
 

Honey highlights. To lighten up a mid- to light brown or add dimension to a dirty blonde, a healthy dose of honey highlights will add a shimmering radiance that will get you noticed. This is also a great option if you’ve let some of those roots grow out since a sprinkling of delicate highlights looks perfectly natural and undeniably beautiful. 
 

Holiday-friendly haircuts:

Hollywood blow-dry. With the new season comes the anticipation of the holidays. Even if your holidays are socially distanced this year, you’ll want to look great for photos and videos. Try this Hollywood-style blow dry look with crazy volume and luscious waves no matter what your plans are this season. Looking spectacular with a holiday formal or for a more casual occasion, this glamorous blow dry look is perfect for the season.
 

The bob. One of our favorite short styles, the bob is easy to care for and looks great anywhere, from a business meeting to a decidedly formal occasion. Traditionally a short, single-length style cut off at the chin, there is a lot of variation to make it your own style this year, from adding waves or even curls to varying the ends for an asymmetrical cut.
 

Layered styles. Layers make a cut look fuller, and they also help to activate curls, so whether you have big texture or fine hair that you want to show a little more volume, layers are the way to go. The modern shag is a medium-length cut with long layers and blunt ends to keep it full and beautiful. Prefer longer hair? Try pixie-fringe bangs on a long, well layered cut, especially if you’ve got natural waves. It’s flexible enough to go with an updo now and then, but stunningly gorgeous when flowing freely.
